In a previous post, I noted that Parallels build 5600 somehow screwed up my VM such that even if I uninstalled build 5600 and went back to build 5582, Windows would still not boot up. It was only by copying over a pre-5600 VM that I was able to boot Windows again. Well, I finally had some time to try installing build 5600 again. The one big difference, I think, from last time to this one is that I made sure I shut down Windows and that the VM was stopped. I don’t really know if that is what made the difference, but I was able to download and install build 5600 just fine.
Sorry, but I’m not going back to figure out how to recreate a broken install. All I know is that I now have a working VM again. And boy, am I glad.
