FireFox update

November 27, 2007 Leave a comment

There’s a new update for FireFox, 2.0.10, available for download now.  You can learn more about it here.   Basically, it appears to be some security updates.  As soon as I restart my FireFox, I’ll be updated, so if you’ll excuse me…

Well, this is not good.

As you know, I’m considering upgrading to Leopard. After reading this article, maybe I’m going to wait a little while. If it’s really true that Leopard is going to through batteries faster, I’m going to wait for a little while they figure what’s going on. I’ll keep an eye on the goings on and post when I have an update.

Are you on Leopard and have you noticed a drop in battery life?

10.4.11 and all’s well!

Well, I updated to 10.4.11 from 10.4.10.  I used the combo Intel installer and everything seemed to go just fine.  I did think that all of a sudden, my network connection stopped working, but it wasn’t long before I figured out that I just bumped the connector while disconnecting my external monitor before the update!  Whew! 😛

Where’s the (Tiger) love?

It’s right here on Apple’s website.  Apple released Tiger 10.4.11 last Wednesday.  I haven’t updated yet because I still need to do a backup, but it is out there.  If you followed the link above, you’ll see that it goes to Combo Update rather than the regular Update.  The reason for that is because I’ve been reading about some people having problems using the regular update.  I’ll let you know what happens, probably tomorrow, after I complete the update and hopefully still have a working Mac. 🙂

Well, I got my 19 pages of essays turned in for my class before the due date.  Now I just have to cram study for the final, but I’ve got plenty of time for that.  Just realized I am totally out of the updating cycle!  A few minutes ago I updated Microsoft Office to 11.3.9 after first updating to 11.3.8, so if you, like me, have auto updates turned off, you might want to go check it out!
